Field Trips

Our Frontier Field Trip program was thoughtfully designed in collaboration with teachers and homeschool families to create an experience that is both fun and educational. Whether you're planning for a classroom, co-op, or youth group, our program offers engaging opportunities for students of all grade levels.

Students don’t just learn, they participate. Our field trips are built to spark curiosity and encourage hands-on discovery, making history and concepts more memorable through immersive experiences.

We offer a variety of customizable packages to fit your group’s needs and budget.

  • Frontier Fundamentals
Our foundational package is perfect for groups looking for a guided introduction to the village. A trained docent will lead students through the site, sharing stories, historical context, and insights that bring the frontier experience to life. This option is ideal for groups who want an engaging, educational overview with opportunities for questions and discussion.

  • Little House on the Frontier
This interactive package gives students the chance to step into the past and experience daily life on the frontier. Participants rotate through up to six hands-on activity stations, exploring pioneer skills, traditional games, and everyday tasks that shaped life on the Texas frontier. It’s a fun, immersive way to connect with history through doing, not just observing.

  • Pioneer Planet (April–May)
Available seasonally in the spring, this nature-focused experience highlights the environment of the frontier. Students will explore native herbs and wildflowers, learn about local bird species, discover the important role of pollinators, and plant their very own seed. This package is perfect for groups interested in science, ecology, and the natural world.

Whether you’re looking for a simple visit or a fully guided educational day, we can tailor the experience to meet your goals.
