A NOTE REGARDING SELF-GUiDED TOURs

As we approach our 60th Birthday, we have updated our tour procedures to ensure guest safety, as well as allow for some much needed maintenance and repairs to our homes and cabins.

Due to an unfortunate increase in theft and damage to our cabins and artifacts, the self guided tour is for viewing of the outside of the homes only. Guests may still book a guided tour to view the inside of the homes here.

Homes will also be open during our Living History events!

Frontier Village & Museum is proud to be 100% Volunteer operated and supported primarily by donated funds.

As such, we thank you for your understanding that our small but passionate volunteer base is working tirelessly to open the homes back up for the self guided tour.

Our primary goals are to:
- Decrease theft and damage of our artifacts while increasing visibility through improved barriers
- Beautify and restore the exteriors of the cabins and protect them against the elements
- Improve our pathways throughout the Village
- and most importantly maintain the safety and satisfaction of our guests, donors, and volunteers

If you wish to volunteer your time or skills to assist with our efforts, please email [email protected] or call/text (903)463-2487.
